Our Story
My name is John, and I’m the owner and licensed residential builder behind Next Gen Builders. Born and Raised here on Hilton head island. My foundation in construction began early, working side by side with my father and learning the trade from the ground up. From framing and layout to jobsite discipline and accountability, he taught me what it truly means to build the right way — not just how to put things together, but how to take pride in your work and stand behind it.
Those years spent learning from him shaped my work ethic, attention to detail, and respect for the craft. I learned the importance of doing things correctly the first time, communicating honestly, and treating every project as if it were my own home. That foundation carried me through over a decade of hands-on residential construction and framing, including building homes and garages from the ground up. And now i feel like this is the time for me to bring those lessons to life and bring great Workmanship to my Customers.

Born & Raised on Hilton Head
I was born and raised on Hilton Head Island, and construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was quite literally brought to job sites as a baby, growing up around residential builds and learning early what it means to work hard, show up, and take pride in the craft.
Being local means I understand the homes, the environment, and the expectations of homeowners here. It also means I care deeply about the reputation I build in this community. Every project reflects not just my company, but my name and the place I’ve always called home.
Off the Jobsite
When I’m not on the job site, you’ll probably find me on a golf course. Like construction, golf is about patience, precision, and doing things the right way — values that carry over into how I approach every project
